Why look for a digital apprenticeships?
Currently at least 270,000 companies make up the digital economy. Revenue reported by digital companies is growing 25% faster than that of non-digital companies. On average digital employers hire three more people than non-digital employers.
As for apprenticeships, they are growing too… 868,7000 people were in an apprenticeship in 2012/13. And the funding bodies are taking note of the trend as seen by the funding increase in apprenticeships. An extra £170 million was announced in the 2014 budget to encourage small businesses to take on more apprentices. That’s a lot of moolah!
