Every time I heard who wants to be a millionaire, by default I would annoyingly answer in my mind “Who doesn’t want to be a millionaire?”

OK, moment of truth – I am not a millionaire.

And if you are reading this, it is likely you are not a millionaire either. But hey, who doesn’t want to be a millionaire? You know what they say, fake it till you make it.

Here’s how to look like a millionaire, even if you’re not

I love the article. Let’s for a moment forget about making you look like a millionaire. However following the tips about will help you in your work life.

One bit of advice that definitely resonates with me is tip no. 5, Allow one appropriate “statement piece”

As the article points out,

Don’t try too hard to distinguish yourself from everyone else in the office, but subtly let your personality shine through. Your statement piece could be a pair of fashionable eyeglasses or a flashy pair of shoes.

Tips on how to look like a millionaire

  1. Never let a “flaw! undermine your confidence
  2. Get enough sleep for radiant skin
  3. Consider every detail of your image
  4. Dress to appear taller
  5. Allow one appropriate “statement piece”
  6. Invest wisely by using the one-third rule
  7. “Casual” does not mean “sloppy”

Do you know what the one-third rule of investing in clothes is?

Buy one-third as many clothes, but spend three times as much. SO instead of buying three pairs of pants at average prices, buy one pair of expensive pants and wear them everywhere.

The advice comes in inspiration from Vicky Oliver’s book, The Millionaire’s Handbook: How to Look and Act Like a Millionaire, Even If You’re Not.

I love the tips. What do you think of it? Let me know in comments.
